Foster, Jackson, Jones Scholarship Requirements and Application

It is the desire of the Foster Jackson Jones family that all that yearn to continue their education do so with the full support of their family. Being conscious of the need for advancement in education and the development of future leaders in our communities and families, this scholarship fund has been established. The Scholarship will aid our students within their chosen field of study which best satisfies their academic needs.

REQUIREMENTS

1.      Must be a graduating high school senior within the two year reunion period (year before/reunion year).
2.      Must be a direct descendant of a Foster, Jackson, Jones.
3.      Must have attended 3 or more of the last 5 reunions.
4.      Must present a “Letter of Acceptance” to an accredited College, University or Trade School.
5.      Must demonstrate good moral character in school and community exemplified by a letter of recommendation.
6.      Must have an acceptable grade point average.

*(Scholarship disbursement may be adjusted based on accumulation of funds)

Required Criteria (All applicants must submit the following)

A completed and signed copy of the FJJ scholarship application
A 300 word essay expressing the importance of family and education.
A copy of the applicant’s high school transcripts
A copy of “Letter of Acceptance” to an accredited College, University or Trade School
A letter of recommendation from a current high school teacher or counselor
A letter of recommendation from a family member other than parents
